Getting ready together, vintage cars, and intimate chapels are how you do your micro-wedding the right way! While there’s no formula to planning your micro-wedding, we hope you feel inspired by the way Paige & Shelby wanted uncomplicated wedding logistics while not compromising on the details. Plus, how could I not share these beautiful bombshell beauties?!
The planning initially began with a wedding date and a booked photographer. That’s all! TIP: When planning a micro-wedding, start with the bare minimum! Since you have less guests, you can devote more time to slowly developing the details. Besides — this DAY is all about YOU!
When the planning process began, Paige & Shelby communicated to me that they wanted a romantic vintage elopement with 3 things:
And how did we accomplished these three goals? We booked the PINKEST chapel in Las Vegas (Sure Thing Chapel) and a most unique reception venue, a Las Vegas restaurant (Velveteen Rabbit). We were then able to bring in custom pizza catering (Pizza Stoned): so delicious! Once the locations were decided, P3 Events connected the two brides to hair and makeup, transportation, and styling out their day with their custom Pinterest and Mood Boards. Their reaction and review was everything!
The day began for the brides with pampering by Makeup in the 702. As you can see, Paige is rocking her glamorous, old-Hollywood inspired waves and Shelby rocked the bun with a classic braided crown. We included their wedding invitation suite as well, since it captured the vintage romantic theme that invited all their guests to the event.
And then transportation picked them up, and off they were, “headed to the chapel.”
When they arrived, it took no longer than 5 minutes to get their small party of guests seated and a brief walk-down the aisle, including a special escort of Paige by her father. The sweet, intimate ceremony matched perfectly to their theme thanks to their florist, Lucid Juliet, who did an equally incredible job on the bouquet as she did the floor arrangements.
As they said their “I DO’s” their small group of friends and family cheered and Sure Thing Chapel’s lady Elvis came out with a performance. This got all the guests on their feet, and eased off the pressure of formal family photos and an intimate first dance under the disco ball, before heading to the reception.
While this was happening, the P3 Events team worked with other vendors to prepare the Velveteen Rabbit uniquely to the romantic vintage theme for Paige & Shelby. Check out all of the gorgeous design details below:
When the brides & their guests arrived, they were stunned by all of the upscale, yet minimal design aspects. From the pink charger plates to the bar cart cake stand, each design idea from the wedding planning process all came together beautifully.
Everyone got a round of drinks as toasts were completed, and then the delicious dinner service began. The celebration lasted from 5-8pm. And they even got to cut their MOST gorgeous vintage caked by yours truly, Caked Las Vegas.
Although this part of the night is shorter than most full wedding receptions, the brides both had time to enjoy the rest of the night to enjoy JUST the two of them. TIP: Your micro-wedding should allow for as much private moments for you & your partner as possible.
And this concludes the perfect micro-wedding! Want to recreate this stress free elopement? If you’re thinking about planning your very own micro-wedding, this is your SIGN to do it!
