Don’t you love when an organic, garden aesthetic meets chic? Kia & Q’s wedding day was filled with opulent details that radiated everything that makes this couple unique and special. Not only were these brides two of the most beautiful people I’ve met, but their guests also understood the assignment and blew me away with their style & class.
P3 Events began working with this couple in April of 2022, because people it takes a long time to arrange a day this SPECTACULAR. The brides were gems to work with came up a beautiful concept for their wedding. As we booked their vendors, they knew exactly what they wanted and here is how their wedding day went:
First, the day started off at Red Rock Casino, where Kia and Q got ready with the team from Set & Fury (hair + makeup). The bride, Kia, was in a fit & flare dress with intricate embroidering, sparkles, and glam. And bride, Q, wore a tan boho suit with no shirt underneath for a gorgeous, sexy look. I’m glad she took my advice, and convinced her to be BOLD.
The photographer, Sam Jacobs Photography, and videographer, Andoni Garcia Films, arrived at the hotel to grab these getting ready moments. While the brides were finishing the final touches of their attire, our team at P3 Events split to set-up at Desert Love and A Simple Affair simultaneously. My assistants went to Desert Love at Cactus Joe’s and set up the garden chic vibe by arranging the rental chairs in a runway setting. While the Bloomingbelle’s team (Pam & Brad) set up all of the floral arrangements. Jason, from DBF Bars, also dropped off the post-ceremony boho bags (alcoholic) in a cooler.
As the day progressed and set-up was finishing, all of the vendors began arriving to the ceremony site including ceremony musician, Josh Crooks, from Six String Weddings. Then, transportation arrived bringing the brides and their guests of honor. Since the brides wanted to do a first look, they had Q stay at the front of the bus and Kia at the back of the bus. Therefore, we had to coordinate getting them on and off the bus without seeing each other before orchestrating the “first-look” moment.
Thankfully, it all worked out. A garden chic area was the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable first-look.
Afterward, there was plenty of time for Kia & Q to take glamour shots with their bridal party and family before the ceremony started. And like I said from the beginning, their guests came to SLAY in their garden chic wedding attire!
As the guitarist played a lovely tune, guests began to take their seats as the processional started. It kicked off with their best people walking down the aisle, then Q with her mom, and lastly Kia with her father. The ceremony was performed by Berlynn from Peachy Keen Unions, always our go-to for officiants. Overall, it was a beautiful procession and they finally tied the knot!
Afterward, the assistants from P3 Events passed out the boho bags from DBF Bars while guests took pictures in the garden chic area at Desert Love. Our team at P3 Events and the photo/video vendors took care of Kia & Q very well. They were especially over the moon about receiving a little bit of alcohol right after saying their “I do’s”.
While awaiting the buses, the photographer and videographer got some beautiful photos of Kia & Q in the desert, beaming with that post-married look! I mean just look at these two:
The buses then arrived to take everyone to the reception at A Simple Affair. The drivers took them around a tour of the red rock desert, since we were still finishing up the final details of the reception. Guests that didn’t take the bus transportation arrived for cocktail hour. Tall curtains split the room to hide the main part of the party from cocktail hour.
We turned the space into a gorgeous bohemian, garden chic flair with touches of modern. When I say we went all out, we went ALL OUT. The place was decked with floral, opulent linens, unique glassware, tealight candles, and a neon sign that said “The Allen-Taylors.”
Finally, when Kia & Q did arrive, we had them get a “first-look” of their reception space before any of their guests. Luckily, we had our photographer, Sam Jacobs, catch the jaw-drop and awe of the moment.
Then, the brides got a moment to relax in the bridal suite while we wrangled the final touches and vendors to get the party started. The sushi and appetizers concluded, and the curtains were opened to reveal the room to the guests. As my assistants passed out seating pamphlets to help guests find their table, guests were floored at the beauty and compliments flooded the room at the gorgeous tablescape and aesthetics we put together.
The party finally kicked off with a grand entrance to “Int Players Anthem” into the first dance “Stand by Me” (Prince Royal version) by DJ Whitney. The formal dances carried on and then led into speeches by many of their honored guests. Afterward, catering began by 911 Taco Bar who put on an amazing spread of Hispanic food. The rest of the night was filled with great music (again thanks to the DJ), dancing, and time spent with Kia & Q’s favorite people in the world. And that concludes the event!
Again, congratulations again to the happy couple!! And a BIG round of applause for these incredible vendors who came together to create Kia & Q’s special day:
