An LGBTQ Wedding in Vegas at Sure Thing Chapel, followed by a group dinner celebration at The Golden Nugget. Let me tell you all about Karen & Devyn’s fabulous elopement!
The day began when Karen & Devyn got picked up by Royal Rides. Fun fact! When we work with our couples through our mini-mony elopement packages, we add on a specialty vehicle. So for Karen & Devyn, it was a vintage Rolls Royce that picked them up and sent them straight to their amazing wedding photographer, Andi Artigue. In addition to their fab vehicle, Devyn and Karen also worked with us to coordinate their dinner celebration at The Golden Nugget.
The couple’s first stop on their wedding day was photos on Fremont Street. They wanted to arrive at Sure Thing Chapel before their guests. Which gave them plenty of time to work on their photography experience. As far as wedding photos in Downtown Vegas, Fremont Street is where it’s at. It’s exactly what you might expect of Vegas, minus the hustle of The Strip. Bright lights everywhere and heaps of color, accented by towering palm trees and clear blue skies overhead. Basically, the perfect setting for elopement photography!
As their guests began to pour in, Devyn and Karen hopped back in their car; element of surprise and all, and patiently waited as the chapel seats were filled. Exactly 8 minutes later (yes, I timed it!), Devyn and Karen’s wedding at Sure Thing Chapel was a wrap and they were officially wifed up!
If there’s one thing I need to tell you about Sure Thing Chapel, it would be about the cute vintage photo booth inside. Think back to the photo booths you grew up with. The ones that lined the boardwalks of beaches with a swivel chair inside. Remember squeezing in with everyone and laughing so hard your cheeks hurt? That’s pretty much the same one at Sure Thing Chapel. Along with their mini-mony elopement package, Devyn and Karen also received a complimentary set of photos in the booth. So, after they said I do, it was time to say cheese.
Once they were outta the photo booth, Devyn and Karen headed straight to their family and friends. The champagne was poppin’ and the photographer was clicking away (in film & digital) as their guests celebrated their newlywed status. Sometimes you just have to pop champagne on the side of the street on your wedding day. Crystal glasses included. Yes, even on the sidewalk. After their first official toast of the night, their guests hopped on a party bus and everyone was off to dinner at The Golden Nugget.
We love Sure Thing Chapel as an inclusive wedding venue for our couples. So many of the couples we work with on elopements are searching for that all-inclusive LGBTQ wedding package in Las Vegas. And we can’t blame them! Having everything together in one neat package is a fantastic way to stay true to your budget. So you might wonder how customization works with packages.
One thing is for sure, each and every package is completely different from the next. We’re not about trying to squeeze our couples into something that doesn’t fit their vision. In fact, one of the things we love so much about Sure Thing Chapel is that they also provide the flexibility for you to work with the wedding vendors of your choice. No picking from a pre-selected list like other venues!
