With things opening back up and couples being able to resume their large wedding planning, I wanted to show that Elopements aren’t over and in fact – they’re better than ever!
This shoot was to show what a Street-Chic Elopement could really be! This specific shoot was modeled after my For 2 Package with added details.
Let’s get into it!
The couple started their day at Midcentury Manor for a Getting Ready Photo Shoot! Leila and her team came prepared and delivered the cutest “Modern Twiggy” look for Riley. While Riley’s hair set in rollers, we played around in one of the gorgeous bedrooms at Midcentury.
After these gorgeous shots, it was time for the Couple’s Boudoir Shoot in the The Green Room. Some of these images were just featured in Rock & Roll Bride’s January 2022 Issue!
After all that steaminess, it was time to get dressed!
From the beginning I wanted the Odylyne Ceremony dress but was having a hell of a time hunting it down and had a few other details I needed to focus on too. Months later, I met Gina of Silk & Style Bridal. She mentioned hunting down dresses is part of what she does and the rest was history! Gina found the dress at Jasmine Lily Bridal and I paired it with some pumps I found on Amazon and a gorgeous studded headband from Grey Pearl Bridal.
I wanted to do something simple for the first look. Just because it’s just the two of you for an elopement (usually), does not mean the small moments shouldn’t be captured. The Primary Bedroom has these really vintage 70’s mirrors and I thought it would look cool to have Max come in and see Riley for the first time in the mirror.
Then it was off to Sure Thing Chapel downtown.
This was my first time at Sure Thing Chapel and I fell in love immediately! It’s a woman-owned business that gives you just the right amount of “kitsch” and Old Vegas! In the packages for Sure Thing Chapel (below) I offer everything you need to have a fun and beautiful elopement. Plus, you have the option of being married by an old style Vegas Flamingo Girl or a Female Elvis! There are also fun details included in your package like a heart shaped arch and floral for it as well as their vintage photo booth! Bring ones!
We took to the streets and went to some staple locations downtown.
Downtown is full of beautiful murals, installations and storefronts that make for unique and fun pictures. On any given day we can find a new spot or be the last to take a picture in front of a mural.
We ended this part of our day at Battista’s behind The Cromwell. Battista’s is basically a historic landmark and house stories of the Rat Pack and all that the Old Las Vegas has to offer. The walls are plastered with pictures from the past and celebrities who frequented. Frank Sinatra, Capone and Joey the Clown Lombardo; to name a few!
I wanted to show how fun a cozy dinner for two can be. You don’t always need fancy and when you visit Battista’s, you’re family and they go above and beyond to accommodate any request (within reason). They gave us a cozy booth in the back, a bowl of spaghetti (out of this world amazing, authentic Italian Cuisine) and red wine! The rest was up to Max & Riley…they did not disappoint. Lady and the Tramp anyone?
On our way out, I spotted Motorcycles and their owners standing outside and asked them if we could have Riley pose on of them. They of course agreed and we got some amazing shots! You’re welcome Harley Davidson.
While they were doing this, I grabbed a few people from inside the bar on the corner and asked if they would hold some signs for our couple. I was greeted to screams and yes’s and we headed outside! I always love how enthusiastic strangers can be for other people’s happiness. It’s refreshing!
We grabbed a bottle of Vodka and went back to Midcentury!
This is the Cake in Bed part of the package and it never disappoints! Midcentury Manor also has an amazing pool, so we had to incorporate that! I make the packages to fit the space you’re in. So if there is a unique location or offering at your venue, it will be used!
Midcentury Manor has such a beautifully landscape backyard and pool, I knew we had to use it! It is so in theme with the 70’s and sits right off a golf course looking at The Stratosphere.
Time to dry off and warm up!
We ended the night in bed with vodka, cake and money. I don’t know about you but that’s how I’d like to end at least 1 of my days.
This was a +12 hour day and I loved every second of it! Every vendor who gave their time and/or services is so appreciated and this shoot would not have been the same without them!
