An Industrial-Chic Baby Shower:
To Celebrate Julissa & Baby Cole!

I have planned a few baby showers but this one is going to be considered the first! This past weekend, I had the honor of planning and hosting a baby shower for one of my closet friends. This is the first baby in our group of friends,  so its extra special and exciting!
Julissa’s Baby Shower was the first event in our new studio and couldn’t have looked or gone any better!

P3 Eats catered this party with fun, bite sized fan favorites: Mini Gouda & Basil Pizzas, Homemade White Castle Burgers, Mini Fried Chicken, Macaroni & Cheese Bites and the special guest- Fries from Checkers 🙂 (favorites of the Mommy to be). Our Studio is BYOB! This time we supplied different juices and fruits for the mimosa cart and each guest brought a bottle of champagne. For a fun, small detail we added ribbons and chalkboards listing what was what.

And we didn’t forget the Mommy to be…she had a special spot at the head of the room with treats, sparkling grape juice and a floral tiara!

To kick things off, we had the expecting couple take a few shots  in front of their flower wall with their adorable Baby Cake and custom photo frame!  Very simple and fast to make for something personal and a fun item guests can use throughout any event!

The Flower Wall added a easy and fun backdrop and turned into the “Photo Area” very quickly.

The cake was easily the cutest cake I have ever seen and tasted delicious. Bittersweet has the best cake/icing to choose from. For this cake, we choose Almond Cake with Chocolate Chips and Hazelnut Buttercream icing. Nancy at Bittersweet in Lakeview never disappoints! She said this was her first time doing a cake like this and I don’t believe her. The detail was impeccable and the little gold jewel glistened the entire party!

Abby at Life’s Sweeter Side was kind enough to create the most detailed mini desserts to compliment our table. Her hand-painted chocolates always impress everyone and no one actually wants to eat them because they are mistaken for art (but they eventually get over it and devour them).

For the activities, we began with the onesie decorating!

Onesie Station Kit includes:

  • A bunch of onesies size 0-12 months (carter’s sells in bulk)
  • Linen Pens & Puff Paints
  • Cordless Irons
  • Iron on pictures and letters (we printed ours)
  • String and clothespins to hang them for drying

Next! Guess that “Baby Making Song!” Guests received a card and were asked to list what song they thought was playing. At the end, the person with the most correct songs won a Goodie Box from Bittersweet!

We ended the afternoon with gifts and more champagne! Our favorite, the ridiculously soft oversized elephant for Baby Cole!

Julissa! We hope you had an amazing Baby Shower and we cant wait to meet Baby Cole! Congratulations again!
