Micro-Wedding in Arts District: Sarah + Kieran

Nov 9, 2022

Coming to YOU all the way from Canada is one of our dreamy, Vegas micro-wedding couples: Sarah & Kieran! We still can’t believe they traveled all the way to Las Vegas to celebrate (and we were thrilled nonetheless), but boy did we make this wedding a GOOD one!

My favorite aspect of getting to plan their wedding was the Wedding Party Styling! Not only did they ask for all of my styling advice but truly listened & applied it. I am always happiest when I see a bride and groom use my design skills to the MAX. Not only did the bride and groom make their guests jaws drop, but the wedding party too! And as you can see they absolutely smashed their fits.

Their Wedding Day

While looking into the weather report gave us some anxiety for the weekend, P3 Events worked quickly with the Velveteen Rabbit to ensure the couple’s day was still perfect and were able to move the entire reception inside! It was THE WINDIEST day of the year! Even the festival, When We Were Young, for pop punk & rock listeners was cancelled due to high wind warnings.

This meant there were lots of people downtown in the young, hip Arts District while doing the couple’s styled walk with Samantha Jacob Photography at the El Cortez and Circa. The vibes throughout picture-taking were bohemian, glamour, and artsy — I mean it’s called the “arts district” for a reason!

After Photos is the Ceremony!

The couple & their wedding party was then transported by Brad from Royal Crowns, to their ceremony site at Little White Wedding Chapel. This ceremony site is a classic in Vegas, however they just recently changed their policy to in-house officiants only so keep that in mind if you planning on booking there.

Their ceremony went smoothly & they took some photos in the tunnel of love location.

The PARTY

After the bride with her brass knuckles attached to the bouquet & her bolo tie groom tied the knot, we finally began the party at Velveteen Rabbit. We had the BEST staff at this dinner location, who not only provided exceptional service but mind blowing drinks! These custom cocktails were probably some of the best I’ve had in Vegas ever & the bartenders that night were incredible too.

The catering for this wedding was Pizza Stone’d who provided personal pizzas, salads and crostini’s (my FAVORITE). It was absolutely delicious. For reception design, P3 Events provided beautiful soft pink and baby blue crushed velvet linens for their pizza table and dessert table. The couple enjoyed a Sweet Table from Pink Box and Caked with playing card napkins as well.

The party vibes were a complete juxtaposition of design, with fun floral colors but a dark, edgy aesthetic. With a touch of elegance and trend, everyone also enjoyed the vintage photobooth of the restaurant. While the design was very moody, and edgy — the energy of this wedding party & their guests was WILD! Their group was small, yet intimate best friends who just wanted to have a blast.

The Afterparty “Party”

I would say this crew had an authentic experience of the “REAL” Las Vegas, old style, but classic Vegas nonetheless. After the dinner and cake, everyone left the Velveteen Rabbit to explore the Strip. Sarah & Kieran gave out chips to everyone for some “Casino Crawling” in different places to try their luck! After hopping around at some poker and casino games, everyone gathered at the Bellagio fountain where one of our planners, Amanda, met everyone with warm In-n-Out burgers.

You could say the night ended with a really big bang! And hey, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas right? If you know, you know…
